TO BEHAVE OR NOT TO BEHAVE--THAT IS NOT AN OPTION!
GOOD BEHAVIOR AND CLASSROOM MANNERS ARE AN ABSOLUTE MUST!
High Expectations in All Things!
High expectations are not just for class work, homework, and grades! Behavior also counts! If you have trouble with behaving appropriately in class or in the hallway, I hope you understand that I plan on helping you adjust to the rigors of young adulthood. If you are well-behaved, thank you. Everybody else should be dialed in with a few weeks. To build a strong team of learners, we need strong leaders, and strong leaders do not draw attention to themselves by misbehaving. Students who have behavior difficulties will be mentored, receive a copy of a behavior rubric that polite people follow, and receive coaching from Mrs. P if necessary. The copy of the behavior rubric can be found on this page.
As far as rules and expectations go for ELA 7, just understand that we live by the Golden Rule. Because no one wants to be mistreated, no one will be allowed to mistreat others. Because no one wants to be ridiculed, no one will be allowed to ridicule. Because no one wants to be a clown, no one will be allowed to act like a clown. Because no one wants to fail, no one will be allowed to walk the trail to failure.
